[bigletter]What started off as a regular night of coverage for a fashion story ended up being the time of my life![/bigletter]

Hermès opened its doors at Miami’s Design District today, and last night they held a celebration to remember.

There was a super exclusive cocktail party at 6:30 p.m. at the three-story boutique, where invitees mingled and enjoyed a glass of wine, as I walked around and did my reporter duties: took pictures, looked at the clothes and drooled over the architecture of the building.

At 8 p.m. everyone was welcomed to the afterparty. To say they went ALL OUT would be an understatement.

With a 1950’s Cuba theme, the French luxury retailer rented Soho House and decorated it with palm trees, rainbow walls, photo booths, and empanada and sandwich stands throughout the venue.

The invite-only event was hosted for industry insiders, bloggers and Miami socialites.

Everyone flaunted their exquisite outfits and hairstyles, and of course, many ladies and gents wearing their Hermès bags, belts, shoes and scarves strutted from side to side of the studio taking pictures and dancing to salsa and son Cubano played by a live band.

The arcade was my favorite part.

It was decorated in warm to cool tones. Orange, coral, pink, fuchsia, purple, blue, turquoise and aqua formed a gradual color story from the roof to the floor of the room.

There were games like air hockey, ping pong and pinball machines scattered through around as people played and sipped on sangrias, mojitos and champagne at an all-pink bar also in the room (insert heart-eyed emoji here).

I was asked to attend the event last minute, so I hadn’t picked an outfit beforehand. I got the e-mail, sprang to my closet and picked something simple, edgy and chic. I combed my hair back and kept it simple with a smokey cat eye and a nude lip.

WHAT I WORE
Zara black babydoll dress
Black Bomber Jacket from a random brand (I thrifted it)
Black Steve Madden “Redbull” Booties
Henri Bendel handbag

*All the garments I used to put this outfit together are more than 2 years old, therefore they are not sold in stores any longer. I included links to similar items.
